Registering For DOR

Accredited journals are invited to register for DOR via https://dorl.net and complete the form “Sign Up”. An email will automatically be sent to the e-address provided by the user following the completion of the form. This email contains a link to confirm the registration process. Once the user confirms the registration, the ISC staff will review the data to finalize the registration process. Users will gain access to DOR following this step. It is worth reminding that completing DOR registration form is mandatory just for those users who have not registered for Fast XML Uploading System at https://xml.isc.ac. Accordingly, if you already have a username and password for ISC Fast XML Uploading System, there is no need to register again for DOR.

Steps to Receive DOR

1. Completing “Sign Up” form

2. Confirming the link sent to the user’s email

3. Finalizing the registration by the ISC staff

4. You may get DOR in two ways: (1- Log in to your account, register a journal volume, and submit XML files; 2- Get DOR at a click from your website by using ISC Web Services)

- The password should be at least 8 characters; a combination of letters and numbers

- If you are not able to see registration email in your inbox, check Spam folder. Otherwise, send an email to info@dorl.net to let us know of the problem.

- An XML or Excel file must be uploaded for the current volume (manual reception of DOR).

- Article title, language, website address, authors' names must be inserted to get DOR (for journals or conferences).

- Article's website address refers to the page containing the bibliographic information of that article (for journals or conferences).

- Each journal's editor must insert the accurate article's website address into the XML file.

- Submission of data to DOR system can be done in several phases. For instance, after finalizing data, DOR is produced for uploaded articles. It is possible to add new articles of the same volume to previous articles and get DOR for them.

- Each object title in XML or Excel file will receive just one unique DOR. However, if XML or Excel file contains repeated articles of the same volume, only the first object will receive DOR (manual reception of DOR).

- The number of articles inserted in XML or Excel file must match that of the articles in that volume (journal or conference manual reception of DOR).

- Since DOR adopts ISSN to produce a unique code for journal articles, it is significant to make sure of the ISSN accuracy. As soon as you access the DOR system, go to drop-down list in menu and click “User Profile” and verify the ISSN. It is possible for the user to update/modify the ISSN before receiving the first DOR.
