هدف: هدف پژوهش حاضر بررسی اثربخشی نقاشی‌درمانی بر کارکردهای اجرایی و هماهنگی دیداری-حرکتی دانش‌آموزان نارساخوان بود.
روش‌بررسی: این پژوهش از نوع نیمه‌آزمایشی و با طرح پیش‌آزمون-پس‌آزمون دو گروهی است. جامعهٔ آماری این پژوهش را تمامی کودکان مبتلا به اختلال خواندن تشکیل دادند که به مراکز درمانی شهرستان مشهد در سال ۱۳۹۴ مراجعه کرده بودند. نمونهٔ پژوهش ۴۰ کودک مبتلا به اختلال خواندن بود که به‌صورت در دسترس انتخاب گردیده و به‌صورت تصادفی در دو گروه آزمایشی و کنترل (هر گروه ۲۰ نفر) تقسیم شدند. داده‌های پژوهش با استفاده از آزمون‌های برج لندن، استروپ و عملکرد پیوسته و هم‌چنین آزمون مداد کاغذی هماهنگی دیداری-حرکتی بندر گشتالت، جمع‌آوری و با روش تحلیل کوواریانس چندمتغیره و با استفاده از نرم‌افزارSPSS-19  تجزیه‌وتحلیل شدند.
یافته‌ها: نتایج حاصل از پژوهش نشان داد که نقاشی‌درمانی بر کارکردهای اجرایی در ابعاد کاهش زمان کل و افزایش امتیاز در آزمون برج لندن، کاهش خطای ارتکاب، حذف و زمان در آزمون عملکرد پیوسته؛ کاهش میزان زمان همخوان، زمان ناهمخوان و خطای ناهمخوان در آزمون استروپ (۰٫۰۵ ˂p) و هماهنگی دیداری حرکتی در ابعاد تحریف، چرخش، عدم‌یکپارچگی و تکرار (۰٫۰۱>p) افراد نارساخوان مؤثر است.
نتیجه‌گیری: با توجه به یافته‌ها استنباط می‌شود که نقاشی‌درمانی، روشی مؤثر جهت بهبود دانش‌آموزان نارساخوان است.
