Abstract

recent decades, the sports industry, as one of the new industries, has played a productive role in the international economy and has been more effective for macroeconomic investments for any country. The relative advantage of sports goods is one of the above. To determine the most important business partners of Iran, the commercial share of countries in the field of sports goods during 5 years was used. Then, using the Revealed symmetric comparative advantage index, Lafay, Balasa (export) and Proudman and Reading index, the comparative advantage of each country was examined. On average, Bulgaria and Austria had the highest competitive advantage in the export of boats, China in the export of shoes, clothing and miscellaneous goods, and Germany in the export of boats and sporting rifles, based on the Balasa index and the Revealed symmetric comparative advantage. The Proudman and Reading indices also showed that Indonesia had the highest competitive advantage in footwear exports, Iran in clothing exports, the Netherlands in boat exports, Germany in arms exports, and Korea in exporting miscellaneous goods.
